Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide CAS NO. 57-09-0, also called CTAB, Hexadecyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide, Cetrimonium Bromide. Assay 99%min with white to almost white powder, or 70% in Ethanol with white to light yellow paste, or 30%/50% solution with colorless to light yellow liquid. Easily soluble in Isopropanol, slightly soluble in water, produces a lot of foam when shaking, and has good compatibility with cationic, non-ionic, and amphoteric surfactants. Made by Cetyl Dimethyl Amine and Chloromethane.
