Antibacterial Mechanism
- The antibacterial activity of Cetylpyridinium Chloride is mainly achieved through the interaction between Cetylpyridine ions and acidic molecules of bacteria. When the Cetylpyridine ion interacts with acidic molecules of bacteria, weak ion complexes are formed that interfere with bacterial respiration, thereby affecting bacterial metabolism and achieving antibacterial effects.

- Used in mouthwashes, toothpaste, throat and nasal sprays, as a preservative that can kill bacteria and other microorganisms, and can effectively prevent dental plaque and reduce gingivitis.
- Used in certain insecticides, can effectively prevent dental plaque and reduce gingivitis.
