    Benzalkonium Chloride CAS NO. 8001-54-5, also called Dodecyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride, BKC, C12-C14 Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride, also has other carbon chain distribution from C12-C18 with CAS No. 63449-41-2/68391-01-5/68424-85-1. Widely used as disinfectants raw material for industrial 45%/50%/80%. Also provide 99% powder grade for pharmaceutical fields. Very soluble in water and Ethanol. The aqueous solution will get a lot of foam when shaking. Made from Tertiary Amine and Benzyl Chloride via quaternization.

    Application

    • In water treatment, Benzalkonium Chloride can effectively control the growth of bacteria in water, and at the same time, due to its surface activity, it can peel off the sticky mud while controlling its growth. It is a cost-effective water treatment fungicide.
    • Widely used in industries such as power, coal mining, coking, and oil fields. In the oilfield industry, this product has been used as a disinfectant for oilfield reinjection water for decades and has a strong killing effect on iron bacteria, saprophytic bacteria, and sulfate reducing bacteria.
    • Benzalkonium Chloride belongs to cationic surfactants. It is a non oxidizing fungicide with high efficiency, broad-spectrum bactericidal ability, and strong algal killing ability.
    • Used as Phase transfer catalysts in organic synthesis chemistry, in antioxidant, metals extract, transfering catalyzer, surfactant.
    • Used as a leveling agent in the textile printing and dyeing industry due to its surface activity, and also has antibacterial, anti mold, and anti-static effects.
